what you’ll be doing
We will heading about 160 kms, or 2 hours northwest of Victoria to a small hidden town called Port Renfrew. Found at the end of BC Highway 14, this amazing community is known for its epic outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, camping, ATVing, dirtbiking and of course the biggest trees in the world. Beauty, solitude, nature and relaxation are all here for you to enjoy in Wild Renfrew.
where you’ll be
We will be going down gravel industrial roads to our first stop, Avatar Grove. It’s ancient cedars and firs will amaze you. This is an easy hike up and down some stairs to view Canada’s Gnarliest Tree. We then drive to see Big Lonely Doug, pictured above.

After this we will head to see several more trees including the San Juan Spruce, Red Creek Fir and the Harris Creek Spruce before heading back to Victoria.
